Every sister who stands for truth and righteousness diminishes the influence of evil. Every sister who strengthens and protects her family is doing the work of God. Every sister who lives as a woman of God becomes a beacon for others to follow and plants seeds of righteous influence that will be harvested for decades to come.
- Elder Ballard

Doctrine and Covenants 84:106

And if any man among you be strong in the Spirit, let him take with him him that is weak, that he may be edified in all meekness, that he may become strong also.

Welcome!

"We are going to do something extraordinary." Emma Smith 1842
This phrase replays over and over in my mind as I pray and contemplate the sisters in the Valdosta 2nd Ward Relief Society. Each one of us have different lives, different jobs, different family environment, each one of us are constantly growing and changing. Change in our world is inevitable. Our purpose as Sisters in the Gospel is to realize who we are. We are daughters of our Father in Heaven. We have all prayed about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and have chosen to take upon us the name of Christ when we made our baptismal covenant. Circumstances may change but the gospel does not. As sisters in the gospel we must always be willing to look for opportunities to do and be something extraordinary. I am grateful for the opportunity that I have to serve in the Lord's church, the blessings that each of you bring into my life is extraordinary."

Sis. Leann Robinson, Relief Society President
